St Albans High Street and Market Place where the first Lancastrian attack was repulsed during the battle

Second Battle of St Albans 1461

Sunday 19th February 2023

Meet at 2.00 p.m. outside St Albans Museum + Gallery, St Peter's Street, St Albans, AL1 3DH.

This walk will cover the southern half of the Second St Albans (1461) battlefield including the background to the battle, the dawn attack at St Michael's, the initial repulse and the second attack up Folly Lane and Catherine Street. The route will take about two hours and finish back in the city centre.
