The siege of Halton castle 1643

A guided walk lasting around one and a half hours led by Andrew Abram
The siege of Halton Castle (surrendered on 20 July 1643) followed quickly after the fall of Warrington to Parliament's local forces. The event is covered in Andrew Abram’s book about the Cheshire Army of Sir William Brereton More Like Lions than Men and he will explain the key events of the siege as part of a guided walk that will include access into the castle.
Meet at 11:00am in car park outside castle walls, Castle Road, Halton Village, Runcorn, WA7 2BE
