Battle of Cropredy Bridge 1644

Join Battlefields Trust Chair Anthony Rich to explore this encounter battle during the Civil War which saw the Oxford royalist army successfully drive off attacks from Sir William Waller's force and counter attack them. This ultimately led to the disintegration of Waller's army in the following days. 

Meet at 2:15pm in the porch entrance of St Mary the Virgin Church Church Lane, Cropredy, OX17 1PL.

The walk will last around two to two and a half hours. A service comemortaing the battle is planned in the church after the walk for anyone wishing to stay on.
