Boudica Battle CE 61

Saturday 19th September 2026

Join the Mercia Region of the Battlefields Trust and the Roman Mancetter and Boudica Visitor Centre to explore one of the possible sites of the battle between the Britons (led by Boudica, Queen of the Iceni) and the Romans that resulted in the end of the Boudican Revolt.

Robin Clark and Martin Saunders will lead the walk.

Meet at 10.30am at St Peter’s Church in Mancetter (CV9 1NJ). Parking is available in the church car park by the side of the church. After introductions and a briefing about the walk, we will transfer to Hartshill Hayes Country Park to start the walk.

If you would be willing to help transfer people to the start, please could you make this known to Robin Clark when you book your place.

The walk will be downhill or over flat terrain, there are a mixture of surfaces including country paths, fields and tarmac and it will be approximately 5km in length. Good walking shoes / boots are recommended.

The walk will finish back at St Peter’s Church at 2pm when there will be an opportunity to view the exhibition in the Roman Mancetter and Boudica Visitor Centre. Refreshments will be available at this point. The day will finish at 3pm.

This is a Big Battlefield Walks Weekend event and is free to attend for all. Spaces are limited to 16 people and prebooking is required at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/big-battlefield-walks-weekends-boudica-battle-ce-61-walk-tickets-1997844359259?aff=oddtdtcreator
