Battle of Byland 1322

Join Harry Pearson, Trust member and author of a recent book on the battle of Byland, for a battlefield walk where Robert the Bruce's army managed to defeat the forces of Edward II despite having to scale Sutton Bank.

Meet at 10:30am in the courtyard of the North York Moors National Park Centre at Sutton Bank , YO7 2EH.The walk is approximately 3 miles long and mainly on a path along the top of the escarpment, although the ground can be rough and uneven in places. Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead at all times. This walk is free to Trust members; non-members are asked to make a donation of £5 towards the work of the charity.
