Battle of Newbury 1643

Join local guide Dave Stubbs to explore this pivotal Civil War battle where the earl of Essex's parliamentarian army managed to to hold off the royalists and then return to London after relieving the siege of Gloucester. 

Meet 10:30am at the Falkland Cricket Club, Enborne Street, Newbury, RG14 6TW

The walk will last approximately two hours across paved and unpaved ground. If walkers wish to take lunch after the walk at the Bowler's Arms at the Cricket Club, please inform Simon Marsh using the contact details below.
