Princeton 1777 Battlefield Under Threat
1 September 2016
The American War of Independence battlefield at Princeton N.J. is under threat from the Institute for Advanced Study which is moving forward with plans to construct faculty house housing on a key part of the battlefield known as Maxwell’s Field.
The Battlefields Trust is supporting Campaign 1776, a project of the US Civil War Trust, and has joined the Save Princeton Coalition, an alliance of national and regional conservation and historic preservation organisations united in their determination to preserve the Princeton battlefield.
An article on Princeton was published in the summer edition of Battlefield magazine and a link to the article and more information about the project is available here
