In the yeare 1676 I having acquaintance w(i)th Mr Joseph Browne a writing Schoolmaster & excellent graver, th(a)t th(e)n lived at Woodchester I went thither to visit him Nov 1(st). I there found by inquiry of a woman th(a)t visited my Brother in his sicknes where his grave was. I took order presently to have it new turfed & desired Mr Browne to get some Gravestones for him w(hi)ch was by him done & graved by himself very well: and June 28 1678 I went to see Mr Browne and also to pay him, & saw the stones that were set up some time before to my great content, it is Southwestward of the Church on the left hand of the way th(a)t leads to the South doore at some distance from the way towards the West side of the Churchyard, north of the Tombes belonging to the family of Cambridge a few paces
