Waterloo Uncovered releases its Project Review
23 May 2018
Waterloo Uncovered is a project which marries archeological investigation with veterans and serving military personnel to examine the Hougoumont farm area of the Waterloo battlefield to learn more about the events there in 1815.
The Project Review recently published by the project outlines the archaeological work undertaken in 2015 and 2016, what has been found and what it possibly means. It also explains how the benefits for former and current military personnel have been measured, including those associated with mental health and general well being.
Field work continued in 2017 and is planned for 2018, with further reports and involvement of the military community planned.
