Condition Description:
All that remains of Sir John's effigy is a battered torso. Jenet's effigy is more complete but headless. One panel of the tomb chest survives.
Memorial Notes:
Sir John Morgan of Tredegar, between Newport and Cardiff, was a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre. He was a strong supporter of the Tudor cause and brought military assistance to Henry Tudor soon after his landing at Milford. Henry knighted him, and he was one of the receivers of petitions in Henry's first parliament.
