Memorial Notes:
One of four sculptures making up the Bosworth 1485 Sculpture Trail. The title of the sculpture refers to the process of combining historical accounts with archaeology to find the location of the battlefield and better understand what took place during the fighting. It implies that not all the pieces of historical jigsaw are available to us, allowing therefore only a provisional understanding.
The other sculptures on the trail are, 'The Calm before the Storm' (https://www.battlefieldstrust.com/wotrmemorial/memorial.asp?MemorialID=1132), 'The Storm Breaks' (https://www.battlefieldstrust.com/wotrmemorial/memorial.asp?MemorialID=1218 and https://www.battlefieldstrust.com/wotrmemorial/memorial.asp?MemorialID=1219) and 'The Healing' (https://www.battlefieldstrust.com/wotrmemorial/memorial.asp?MemorialID=1062). Further details on the trail can be found at https://visitleicester.info/discover-leicester-and-leicestershire/blog/bosworth-1485-trail-a-new-way-to-explore-our-history/.
