Members will be aware that in response to the enforced postponement or cancellation of its members' events the Battlefields Trust launched a new programme of members-only online talks. These have have proved so popular that the decision has been taken to make these an ongoing benefit of membership.
We're delighted to have secured a fantastic line-up of speakers for our autumn programme which starts on Weds 9 September:
Weds 9 September: Graham Evans - the Battle of Edgcote, 1469
Weds 23 September: Dr Cath Hanley - England's French king: Prince Louis and the invasion of England 1216-17
Weds 7 October: Professor Anne Curry - who were the soldiers of the later Middle Ages?
Weds 21 October: Alan Turton - the Civil War sieges of Basing House
Weds 4 November - Chris Finn - the Battle of Britain
Wednesday 18 November: Dr Ismini Pells -Civil War general Philip Skippon
Wednesday 2 December: Dr Fiona Edmonds - the Battle of Whalley, 798.
Wednesday 9 December: Dr Harry Sidebottom - Boudica's Rebellion.
These talks are only available to members of the Trust and emails with information on how to register are sent to all members a week in advance. If you are not a member, now would be a good time to join us!
