Northampton Battlefield Update

Northampton Borough Council has confirmed to the Battlefields Trust that an experienced battlefield archaeologist will advise on the preparation of the plan to investigate soil stripped from the battlefield at the Golf Club and that it will ensure that this work will be in line with the Conservation Management Plan for the battlefield agreed by the Council in 2014.  The Council has also advised that the Golf Club has been reminded of its obligations to the Council as landlord to seek its wriiten permission for alterations or development at the site and to ensure that it complies with planning and other regulations there.
