Battle of Stow on the Wold 1646

2026 marks the 380th anniversary of the battle of Stow on the Wold. To mark this occasion the Stow on the Wold Civic Society has organised a march through the town square at around 11:00-11:15pm by members of the Sealed Knot followed by a commemoration at St Edward's Church (GL54 1AB) ending around 12:15pm.

The annual Battlefields Trust walk of the battlefield will take place after this event. It will leave outside St Edward's Hall, The Square, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham GL54 1AF at 2pm.

The walk will focus on the revised location of the battlefield and will last around one and a half hours and cover a distance of just over one mile ending at St Edward's Church.
