Battle of Roundway Down 1643

Join the Wessex Region for a morning walk led by Chris Gravestock around the battlefield of Roundway Down where royalist cavalry decisively defeated a parliamentarian army and rescued a beleaguered force in Devizes, opening up the West for the King.

The walk is approx. 6km on level ground, can be muddy in places when wet.
