Battlefields Trust Annual AGM and Conference 2026

17th-19th April 2026

The annual Battlefields Trust AGM and Conference will be held in Worcester between Friday 17 April and Sunday 19 April 2026. 

There will be a free tour of the city centre parts of the Worcester 1651 battlefield on Friday 17 April with an informal meet and greet in the evening.

Saturday 18 April will commence with the Battlefields Trust AGM, a member only event, followed by the conference, which is open to all. Speakers at the conference will be:

•   Dr Sophie Ambler - War and warfare in Britain 1260-1330
•   Steve Goodchild - The road to Tewkesbury (1471)
•   Dr Glenn Foard - Montgomery (1644) battlefield survey
•   Geoff Yapp - The battle of Worcester (1651)

The AGM and conference will all take place at the Diglis House Hotel, Severn St, Worcester, WR1 2NF. Lunch will be provided to conference attendees. The annual dinner on Saturday evening will also be held at the Diglis House Hotel.

On Sunday 19 April a battlefield and abbey tour at Tewkesbury will take place led by the Tewkesbury Battlefield Society. A coach will take attendees from Worcester down to Tewkesbury, returning by 4pm. Lunch is included in this excursion.
