The possible battlefield site at Middleton Cheney

Battle of Middleton Cheney 1643

Sunday 13th August 2023

Join Gregg Archer on a walk of the battle near Middleton Cheney in May 1643 where the earl of Northampton defeated a parliamentarian force from Northampton.

This will be an opportunity to see the new interpretation board and commemorative stone for the dead from the battle which are being installed in June following a project run by a local group and the Battlefields Trust Mercia Region.

Meet outside Middleton Cheney Primary Academy School, Main Road, Middleton Cheney, Banbury OX17 2PD at 1pm on 13 August 2023.

This walk is free to Battlefields Trust and Northamptonshire Battlefields Society members, but non-members will be asked for a £5 donation to support the work of the Battlefields Trust
