Battle of Sedgemoor 1685

Join the Wessex Region for a walk led by Ashley Truluck through the battlefield of Sedgemoor.

Meet: 10.00am, at the car park by Parchey Bridge on Ward Lane, Bridgwater TA7 8RW (what3words cowboy.skirting.stamp).  The walk will follow the route of Monmouth's night march to the battlefield and will finish in Westonzoyland where attendees may choose to visit the small visitor centre in the church and/or have lunch at the Sedgemoor Inn before making their own way back to the car park.  The route is approx 2.5 miles from the Car Park, so a round trip of about 5 miles over flat ground in the Somerset Levels.   It is possible to do this as a circular walk which may add another half mile or so. 

If anyone wishes to make arrangements to team up and leave a car at each end of the walk, thus keeping the total distance walked to 2.5 miles, please let Chris Gravestock (Email: chrisgravestock@yahoo.com.
