Battle of Marston Moor 1644

The historic church of St Helen's at Bilton-in-Ainsty, York YO26 7NL presents a day of events to commemorate the 378th anniversary of this important Civil Wars battle.

Louise Whittaker from the Trust gives the talk at 2pm, and  at 3:30pm there will also be a 90 min (Approx) Trust guided walk over part of the battlefield led by Yorkshire Region Chair Chris Rock and Louise, with Barry Wright. Meet at the roadside battle monument on Tockwith Road YO26 7PR. Walk length 1-2 miles. Please wear suitable footwear. Walk free to Battlefields Trust members;  a donation of £5 is requested from non-members towards the work of the charity.
