Battle of Stamford Bridge 1066

Without Stamford Bridge, would Hastings have had a different outcome? Join Chris Rock for a one hour, two mile (approx) walk in the footsteps of Harold Godwinson, as he battled the forces of the mighty Norwegian king, Harald Hardrada.

Walk free to Battlefields Trust members. A £5 donation is requested from adult non-members towards the work of the charity.

Meet at 2:30pm at the battle memorial on Main Street, Stamford Bridge, Yorks. (The A166, opposite the Bay Horse public house, YO41 1AA). Free parking may be found at the Shallows Car Park, off Viking Road. There are public toilets near the venue.
