Battle of Stoke Field 1487

On the 531st anniversary of the battle there will be an unveiling of one of the newly installed interpretation panels at the bottom of Trent Lane, close to Eden Hall Spa followed by a tour of the battlefield.
 

Waterloo Association Study Day - The Battle of Quatre Bras 1815

Join the Midlands Group of the Waterloo Association for a day looking at the battle of Quatre Bras fought in the days before the better known battle of Waterloo in 1815.

First Battle of Newbury 1643 – 375th anniversary event

The English Civil War Society will be re-enacting some of the key events during the first battle of Newbury. This will be on the lower slopes of Round Hill to the west of Newbury.

Clive Hammersley will be leading a walk around Wheathampstead, the possible site of the defeat of Cassivellaunus by Julius Caesar, during his second invasion of Britain in 54 BC.

Don Smith will giving a talk and leading a walk to commemorate the battle of Gainsborough, which took place on 28th July 1643, covering the military occupation, siege and devastation of the old town.
 

The Wars of the Roses: The Southern Battles

Dr John Sadler will visit the southern battlefields of the Wars of the Roses, going from St Albans, where the wars started in 1455, to the deciding battle of Bosworth 1485.
