5th Postgraduate Conflict Archaeology Conference

Thursday 16th November 2017

The 5th Postgraduate Conference in Conflict Archaeology will be held on the 16th November 2017. The conference will be hosted by the PhD conflict archaeology and history students at the University of Huddersfield.

As the discipline of battlefield and conflict archaeology continues to grow internationally, so too does the importance of research being developed by postgraduate researchers. At this level we see both the expansion of the discipline into new topics and fields, but also the development of new methodologies to unlock detail in existing fields that previously eluded researchers. This conference series celebrates that contribution and supports the development of these postgraduate researchers by providing a platform to present and discuss their research amongst peers.

This is year’s conference is now the fifth since the first at the University of Glasgow in 2011. In keeping with the research focuses of the researchers hosting this conference, at least part of the conference schedule will be given over to the theme of applied science in conflict archaeology.

The programme is still under development, so please check the link identified below for updates including details about attending and local accommodation.
