Night March to Sedgemoor

Wednesday 5th July 2017

To mark the 332nd anniversary of the battle of Sedgemoor the Battlefields Trust has teamed up with St Mary's Church, Westonzoyland to offer a unique opportunity to recreate the Duke of Monmouth's dramatic night march  across the moor from Bridgwater to Westonzoyland. Our night walk will end at St Mary's Church where the vicar has kindly allowed a limited number of participants to spend the rest of the night.

Everone is welcome to join the walk but those wishing to stay in the Church MUST register here first.

A donation of £10 per person towards the information centre in the church is requested. Please bring warm clothes, camp beds, bedding etc

Programme

10.00pm: meet at St Mary's Church, Westonzoyland for a briefing. Drop off bedding.

c11.00pm: Transfer to small number of cars for drive to starting point of walk outside Bridgwater.

c2.30am: Arrive at St Mary's Church

c9.00am: Depart. Lifts for those who have left cars at Bridgwater.
