Battle of Bosworth 1485

Sunday 7th May 2017

Bosworth is one of the most important battlefields in England, but its location wasn't correctly understood until a project supported by the Battlefields Trust identified the place where it was fought in 2009. This is an opportunity to visit the rediscovered site of the battlefield and learn how the battle developed in this location.

Meet at the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre (CV13 0AD) at 11:00am outside the vistors' centre for an introduction and then at 1:00pm at the memorial on Ambion Hill (under the flags) for the tour.  This will take around two hours.

For those wanting to visit the vistors' centre we should be able to arrange a group rate of £6.00 each (concessions £5.25).  There are parking meters in the car park. Please let Kevin Winter know if you plan to visit the visitors' centre by 30 April so a group booking can be arranged.  His contact details are Email winterkevin28@yahoo.co.uk or Tel 07748 577506.

For the tour as many cars as needed will be used to transport those participating to the farm closest to the rediscovered site of the battle.  Last year there was a £2.00 charge for parking.
