Potters Bar Zeppelin Commemoration Event

To mark the centenary of the ‘Potters Bar Zeppelin’ a commemorative event will be held in Oakmere Park, Potters Bar (EN6 5BT) and will include a fly-past by a replica BE2c, the aircraft flown by 2nd Lt Wulstan Tempest who brought down the Zeppelin on that fateful night 100 years ago. The event is free and will also host a talk on the Zeppelin Campaign, a documentary film, balloon release, re-enactors, Museum exhibits, plus other related activities. Clive Hammersley will be leading a walk looking at the dramatic events of the night of the 1–2 October 1916. Meet at 11.00 a.m. at the Old Manor Pub (EN6 2JD). The walk will be just over 1 mile and will last for approximately two hours finishing at the event in Oakmere Park. For further information on the walk please contact Clive:
