Potters Bar Zeppelin Commemoration Event

Saturday 1st October 2016

To mark the centenary of the ‘Potters Bar Zeppelin’ a commemorative event will be held in Oakmere Park, Potters Bar (EN6 5BT) and will include a fly-past by a replica BE2c, the aircraft flown by 2nd Lt Wulstan Tempest who brought down the Zeppelin on that fateful night 100 years ago. The event is free and will also host a talk on the Zeppelin Campaign, a documentary film, balloon release, re-enactors, Museum exhibits, plus other related activities. Clive Hammersley will be leading a walk looking at the dramatic events of the night of the 1–2 October 1916. Meet at 11.00 a.m. at the Old Manor Pub (EN6 2JD).
