Potters Bar Zeppelin Walk

Clive Hammersley will be leading a walk looking at the dramatic events of the night of the 1st – 2nd October 1916 when German Zeppelin L-31, under the command of Heinrich Mathy, Germany's leading Zeppelin ace, was shot down in flames over Potters Bar by Lieutenant Wulstan Tempest of the Royal Flying Corps. The incident marked a turning point in the aerial attack on London during the First World War. Meet at 2.30 p.m. at the Old Manor Pub (EN6 2JD). The walk will be 2.5 miles and will last for approximately 2.5 hours finishing back at the Old Manor Pub. For further information please contact Clive using the details below:
