Battle of Fulford 1066 950th anniversary commemoration events

Until 27 August and Sunday 18th and Tuesday 20th September 2016

Until 27th August 2016 there is an archaeological dig daily from 11am to 4pm, all are welcome.

On Sunday 18th September 2016 there will be a Family Day from 11am, including children’s battle re-enactment and battlefield walk.

On Tuesday 20th September 2016 at 11:30am a ceremony of remembrance followed by battlefield walk will be held and this may be the last chance to walk on the likely site of this important precursor to the battles at Stamford Bridge and Hastings as housebuilding is due to commence on the site shortly.

All events are taking place or starting from the playing fields on Fordlands Road, Fulford, York YO10 4QG.
