Battle of Myton 1319

Saturday 6th August 2016

Louise Whittaker will lead a walk on the battlefield of Myton where the then Archbishop of York recruited a lay army to fight the raiding Scots.

 

Meet 11:30am in Myton-on-Swale village on the footpath outside St Mary's Church (YO61 2QY).  The walk is approximately 2 miles and will last 90 minutes maximum. There is on-road parking in the village.  No toilets.  The walk is free to Battlefield Trust members and a donation of £5 to the Battlefields Trust is suggested for non-members.
