Battle of Southam 1642

Sunday 18th September 2016

Gregg Archer will lead a walk across what is arguably the first battle of the first Civil War.  Meet at 1:00pm next to the small car park (by the duck pond) at the centre of the village of Long Itchington, Warwickshire. The walk is approximately 4.7 miles and will last around two and three quarter hours.  It is on a mixture of roads, pavements and field paths and stout footwear is recommended.

Lunch can be obtained beforehand from the Cuttle Inn, Southam Road, Long Itchington CV47 9QZ or from one of the three other pubs in the village.
