Battle of Nibley Green 1470

Sunday 28th August 2016

In 1470 Thomas Talbot, Viscount Lisle, and Lord William Berkeley took advantage of the chaos caused by the Wars of the Roses to assemble hundreds of their followers and settle the issue of a disputed inheritance with a pitched battle. Adam Dolling is going to tell the fascinating story of England’s last ‘private’ battle.

Meet at 11am outside St Martins Church, North Nibley, Gloucestershire, GL12 7LS. The walk is about 2 miles long and will take 1.5 - 2 hours.
