The BEF 1914: Historian and novelist Brigadier Allan Mallinson. Lunchtime talk hosted by Fusiliers Museum HM Tower of London. Includes lunch and an opportunity to explore the Tower.

Allan Mallinson was commissioned into the 13/18 Hussars and served for 35 years in the Army and retired with the rank of brigadier. He is also an acclaimed writer of historical military fiction.

He has researched the events leading to the beginning of the First World war and of 1914. For his work on 1914 he developed a new interpretation baaed on insights gained from his experiences as a staff officer in the Directorate of Military Operations.
